Zusammenfassung

Am 19.VIII.2007 wurde ein ♂ von Myotis alcathoe vor der "Orban Balazs"-Höhle bei Varghis (Kreis Harghita) bei 750 m NN gefangen (Jere & Doczy 2007). Im Jagdhabitat wurden am Bach Rachis bei Poina (Kreis Alba) bei 390 m NN mittels Netz am 16.08.2008 ein adultes ♂ und ein laktierendes ♀ sowie am 20.08.2008 ein weiteres ♂ am gleichen Ort gefangen. Die Nachweise im Jahr 2008 gelangen nach einem entwickelten Suchbild der Art im Jagdlebensraum. Im August sind Individuen von Myotis alcathoe besonders leicht in Bachtälern zu fangen, da die Nahrungskonkurrenten Myotis mystacinus und Myotis brandtii nicht oder kaum anwesend sind (nach Beobachtungen in Sachsen-Anhalt). Die Verbreitung von Myotis ikonikovii, Myotis aurascens, Myotis mystacinus und Myotis mystacinus bulgaricus, Myotis alcathoe und Myotis brandtii in Rumänien und Moldawien wird kritisch betrachtet. Weitere Beobachtungen und Revisionen der My otis mystacinus-Gruppe sollten auf dem Balkan vorgenommen werden.

Records of Myotis alcathoe in Romania

A Myotis alcathoe male was caught in a net on August 19th 2007 in front of the Orban Balazs cave near Varghis (district of Harghita) in an altitude of 750 m (Jere & Doczy 2007). On August 16th 2008 an adult male and a lactating female were caught using a net, as well as another male on August 20th 2008. All three were found in the hunting habitat at the bank of the Rachis creek near Poina (district ofAlba) in an altitude of 350 m. The evidence of 2008 was made possible by a certain devised catalogue of searching criteria of the species in the hunting habitat. In August, it is especially easy to catch individuals of Myotis alcathoe in dells of creeks, because of the alimentary competitors, Myotis mystacinus and Myotis brandtii, barely or not at all being present (observations in Saxony-Anhalt). The distribution of Myotis ikonikovii, Myotis aurascens, Myotis mystacinus and Myotis mystacinus bulgaricus, Myotis alcathoe and Myotis brandtii in Rumania and Moldova are being regarded discerningly. There ought to be made further observations and revisions of the Myotis mystacinus group on the Balkans.
