Zusammenfassung

Trotz relativ vieler Einzelfunde und trotz des (bisher einzigen) Nachweises einer Männchenkolonie der Zweifarbfledermaus (Vespertilio murinus) im Oberharz gibt es bislang für das gesamte Flächenland Niedersachsen keinen Beleg für das Vorhandensein eines Wochenstubenquartiers dieser Art. Das Auffinden eines trächtigen Weibchens Anfang Juni 2009 in Neustadt am Rübenberge mit der eine Woche danach erfolgten Geburt von zwei Jungtieren lässt aber kaum mehr einen Zweifel daran aufkommen, dass sich V. murinus zumindest vereinzelt in Niedersachsen fortpflanzt. Einige weitere Funde von Jungtieren im September (2006, 2009) liefern dafür weitere Anhaltspunkte.

Abstract

Indirect prove of reproduction and further individual findings of the parti-coloured bat (Vespertilio murinus) in Lower Saxony

Despite several findings of individual parti-coloured bats (Vespertilio murinus) and the unique (until now) finding of a male colony in the upper Harz the presence of a reproductive roost of the species could not be proven for the whole of Lower Saxony. The finding of a pregnant female in June 2009 in Neustadt am Rübenberge and the birth of two juveniles one week later proves that V. murinus is reproducing at least in singular cases in Lower Saxony. Further findings of juveniles in September 2006 and 2009 are confirming this.
