Zusammenfassung

2003 und 2004 wurden in Kreta die Fledermausvorkommen mit Hilfe von Ultraschall untersucht. Es ergaben sich folgende 14 Arten: Großhufeisennase (Rhinolophus ferrum equinum), Kleinhufeisennase (Rh. hipposideros), Blasius-Hufeisennase (Rh. blasii), Kleines Mausohr (Myotis blythii), Langfußfledermaus (M. capaccinii), Wimperfledermaus (M. emarginatus), Kleine Bartfledermaus (M. mystacinus), Weißrandfledermaus (Pipistrellus kuhlii), Zwergfledermaus (P. pipistrellus), Rauhhautfledermaus (P. nathusii),Alpenfledermaus (Hypsugosavii), Breitflügelfledermaus (Eptesicus serotinus), Langflügelfledermaus (Miniopterus schreibersii), Bulldoggfledermaus (Tadarida teniotis). Es ist anzunehmen, dass außerdem westlich in Kreta das Balkan-Langohr (Plecotus kolombatovici) vorhanden ist.

Gegenüber den Angaben von anderen Autoren über Fledermäuse aus Kreta ergab sich Folgendes: Neu war die Feststellung der Rauhhautfledermaus (P. nathusii). Zahlreicher als bisher angenommen waren Zwergfledermaus (P. pipistrellus) und Langfußfledermaus (M. capaccinii). Nicht festgestellt werden konnten Mehely-Hufeisennase (Rh.mehelyi) und Mittelmeer-Hufeisennase (Rh. euryale).

Summary

On the occurrence of bats on Crete (Greece)

In the years 2003 and 2004 the presence of bats on Crete was recorded with the help of ultrasound detectors. The following 14 species were noted: Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Rh. hipposideros, Rh. blasii, Myotis blythii, M. capaccinii, M. emarginatus, M. mystacinus, Pipistrellus kuhlii, P. pipistrellus, P. nathusii, Hypsugo savii, Eptesicus serotinus, Miniopterus schreibersii, Tadarida teniotis. We may assume that Plecotis kolombatovici is present only in the west of Crete.

In contrast to the observations of other authors about bats on Crete the result was the following: The record of P. nathusii was a new species for Crete. P. pipistrellus and M. capaccinii were present in greater numbers than supposed up to now. Rh. mehelyi and R. euryale were not recorded.
