Zusammenfassung

Das Bundesland Rheinland-Pfalz hat Anteil an 192 Topographischen Karten (1 : 25000). Auf 54 Karten (= 28 %) konnte bisher der Kleinabendsegler festgestellt werden. Ein deutliches Nord Süd-Gefälle ist trotz vergleichbarer Bearbeitungsintensität zu erkennen. Eine schlüssige Erklärung dieser Verbreitung ist ohne gezielte weitere Untersuchungen z. Z. nicht möglich. Kleinabendsegler paaren sich und reproduzieren in Rheinland-Pfalz, aber eine definitive Überwinterung ist noch nicht belegt.

Distribution and status of Leisler's bat (Nyctalus leisleri) in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany)

The State of Rhineland-Palatinate is listed on 192 topographical maps (1 : 25000). On 54 of those (= 28 %) the Leisler's bat was ascertained till now. In spite of comparable work intensity there is an obvious north-south divide. A conclusive explanation of this phenomenon is at present not possible without further specific research. Leisler's bats mate and reproduce in Rhineland-Palatinate, but hibernation is not documented.
